Best Thing I never Had (Bilderberg Group Remix) - Beyonce

The Bilderberg Group, are what many are calling the next "top 10 single" Production & DJing team in the UK,

The “Group” consists of two brothers Bode & Toyin (‘T’) who, as individuals have already ready worked with the likes of BET & MOBO Award winner SWAY, SHUX, super-producer of Jay Z’s No.1 hit “Empire State of Mind” and acclaimed UK Pop sensation DAVE JORDAN, as well as remixes for other major label artists, soon to be released.

What makes them particularly eye/ear-catching is not only their ability to produce, remix (and mix) cross-genre hits, ranging from Urban and R&B to Dance, Electro and Pop, but also their ability to produce such hits in an original manner, breathing fresh life into the music they write and produce .

Their forward thinking sound is urban and edgy with a strong mainstream appeal. And with their attitude of "making cool pop that makes pop cool" it is no wonder why many are calling them the next "top 10 single" production team in the UK.

Already tipped by SketchBook Magazine as stars of the future and "a breath of fresh air" for the Music Industry, This young and talented Group is fast becoming a musical force to be reckoned with.

They have recently finished shooting a video for their debut single which is due for free download release (at all major online outlets), in the new year.. The single, "BIG LIFE" features a very promising young artist called Pinks Perez. This is a major party anthem aimed particularly at the “student generation” (Official Video)

Midnight Music episode 4 - Un-Cut Midnight

Im sure this is Jenna g.... bUT i could be very wrong...

Spider man

The Silver Lining, The Spider Webs! An unexpected side-effect of the flooding in parts of Pakistan has been that millions of spiders climbed up into the trees to escape the rising flood waters. Because of the scale of the flooding and the fact that the water has taken so long to recede, many trees have become cocooned in spiders webs. People in this part of Sindh have never seen this phenome...non before but, they also report that there are now far fewer mosquitoes than they would expect, given the amount of stagnant, standing water that is around. It is thought that the mosquitoes are getting caught in the spiders web, thus, reducing the risk of malaria, which would be one blessing for the people of Sindh, facing so many other hardships after the floods...!!!

Mixtape Launches are usually a "madness". The Queue outside Yoyo's was on the silly side of the ridiculous scale. At one stage it went round the block past Barclays. If you have ever been Yoyo's you know what I mean.

I managed to Catch Ash - no pun intended - at Camdens Jazz Cafe last week. The Band and the performance was on point. Also there was another fella named NATE who was on the stage before. Tidy. I liked it.

If you have not got the mixtape Download it here . or Get hold of a copy somewhere. Its free, so no excuses.

Next Stop a place in Camden that used to be the flowerpot and G Shock Sessions.....

I had an eye/ear on a fella called Scarz since I came across a post that mentioned music of the Rap type that crossed genres. Time passed and came - then I came across a remix of Giggs "look what the cat dragged in" - Scarz leading the track with Giggs blessing the rest of the beat.

it was tidy.

then I got sent this > Download Link:

TheFourthKind have definetly got a good mix of genres my ears picked up mainly on the UK hip-hop and Rock. Breaking The Habit, Is highlyexperimental step towards a new fresh sound. So if you are not into tight production across various genres, step away. Now.

Tracks to check... Dessy Gang, Robbery, and Alliance. And FOR THE LADIES "Hotel"
Please feel free to Download.

With combined views that total over 30,000 I am sure there should be more in the pipeline from these guys very soon.

West London's Music scene often gets over looked. Im not sure why but hey, I leave the politics to another commentator. Whats not up for debate is the fire on the Lucky Number Mix Series coming out of the NBT camp.

Skepta is "Doin it right" BY Team CAN FLY

Skepta released Doin' It Again on the 31st January with some excellent singles with impressive features like Preeya Kalidas, and P Diddy to name a few. Doin it Again spent 3 weeks in the top 100 album charts and debuted and peaked at number 19 on its first week of release. This year is just following the success that the end of 2010 bought Mr Adenuga, so what’s hot with Skepta right now??

WELL WELL WELL its seems that Skeptas latest released video, for his song “All over the house” is the talk of the town, or twitter at the very least. The video is staring a lady who goes by the name Paris Rocks and if you have not heard of her before now, she is a UK based porn star and to quote Paris herself 'I'm a professional cock sucker and ALWAYS finish with a facial!', now before you get all excited like me and think Skepta plays the male role, let me just tell you now sadly he stays fully clothed throughout the video, and the male role is played by Sensi. I loved ‘’All over the house’’ as soon as i heard the song, and I think he done the song justice with this video. The song talks about a sexual encounter with Skepta and his partner, where ‘They had sex all of the house’

So Ipretty much doubt this video meets watershed requirements and I doubt any music station will play the video, as it is not just naked bodies, this is full blown sexual intercourse and cunnilingus. So why did Skepta do it....?

One can speculate that he wanted a buzz around his name and the song, maybe he just wanted to help out Paris Rocks, but there is one question I want answered. Skepta has spoken in the past about his mother having an active interest in his music, I’d love to know what her thoughts on the video are, infact I wonder what Jamie, Julie, Jason and Mr Adenuga all think.

For her role in the video the female porn star has received a barrage of abuse via her Twitter account - @Parisrocksxxx. She expressed her frustration in one tweet claiming she didnt know how people dealt with all the haters on the social networking site.

Most people who had something negative to say on Twitter did not mention anything about her male co-host, Sensi, which comes as no surprise to me, after all our society is fuelled with double standards.

Also many of the abusive tweets were coming from females themselves, one said ‘that Paris Rocks is a right slut’.

So a man features in a porno and no one batters an eyelid, whilst the woman who features gets called a hoe, slut, and publicly ridiculed for what is just a day’s work in her chosen profession.

I’m not judging Paris for her chosen line of work and no one else has the right to, its her choice and it was an act that took place between two consenting adults, might I also add that it was a safe sex act at that.

Now shout out to those females quick to judge another, when behind closed doors you’re indulging in un-protected sex with every Tom, Dick and Harry that comes your way - so really who’s the hoe now?

Buy Skeptas album here: “Doing it again”

The Making Of "Whip It Around" from Calliko on Vimeo.

A behind the scenes look at the making of Calliko's SMASH HIT single "Whip It Around" featuring Wiz Khalifa Produced by Big Head Beats! This single has quickly taken the internet by storm amassing over 120,000 downloads in a month, as well as over 40,000 youtube views. The official video will be up in the next two weeks! Download Calliko's mixtape THE DEPARTURE brought to you by GREEDY GENIUS SNEAKERS out NOW!

Calliko! feature by Stace.

Who is Calliko?
Calliko is a small town kid with big city dreams. A hometown hero best describes my motives and mission to succeed with music. I am the voice of every artist from a smaller area where taking your music career to the next level isn't the norm and failure is accepted. I came to defy the odds.

You've been associated with Twista for a while. How does it feel to be compared to him?
Being compared to Twista is an amazing feeling. Ever since he gave me the name Calliko, I always felt like my major breakthrough was going to be influenced by him somehow, someway. 10 years later, that gut feeling has turned into a reality and I am appreciative for everything I learned from him and his camp.
The mid-West has produced many great rappers.

How has this influenced you?
Me being from the mid-West has influenced my entire upbringing and has made a major impact on the development of my style. I grew up listening to 2Pac and idolizing the pictures he painted of a society I was accustomed to. I also had a cult-like following for Twista and Do or Die growin up because they were from Illinois like myself and I could relate to everything they spoke of because I'd seen it on a daily basis. Bring all those major artists together and you get Calliko.

Tell us about your mixtape 'The Departure'.
The Departure mixtape was initially supposed to be my take-off mixtape that was going to push me over the top and welcome me to the mainstream. Some bad business decisions were made and the demand of the record forced our company to put the record out early. Due to the improper planning we pulled the record and now are coming out with "The Layover". The meaning behind the title is, when your departure becomes delayed at the airport gives you a new ETA (estimated time of arrival) and in between that ETA you have 'The Layover'. I feel like that is where I am with this new project.

Calliko - Whip It Around (feat. Wiz Khalifa) by nochasermusic

'Whip It Around' looks set to be a breakthrough track for you - would you say there's more pressure on you now?
I most definitely think there is more pressure on me now. But I perform better under pressure! I used to play a lot of sports and I am used to watching the clock. I feel like God has a plan for me and nothing can interrupt God's plan for any of us. So I will follow the path He chose for me and give 110% throughout it all.

Are you worried that hip hop fans may just see you as "another Wiz Khalifa"?
Not at all! I think the fans are excited to hear an unknown kid on a track with Wiz Khalifa holding his own. Most of the feedback I got from the record was how I owned the track in my own way. Wiz and I have two completely different styles and lanes. When we come together it's magic. But this magician has A LOT more tricks up his sleeve! Ha ha!

You're working hard, collaborating with different artists in the US. Do you see yourself coming over to England in the future?
To be honest, its always been a dream of mine to perform, work, and collaborate with artists in the UK and overseas in general. I am looking forward to booking events, shows, and release parties in that region soon.
Thanks Calliko and we look forward to hearing loads more from you soon!
Be on the look out for Calliko's upcoming mixtape 'The Layover' out soon!
